I beg to acknowledge the receipt yesterday afternoon of your letter of some date.
In reply I can only inform you that I am unable to perform these duties.
I understand that Surgeon Thompson, Army Medical Staff, is now able and willing to undertake this work, and his services may doubtless be had forthwith on an application to the General Commanding the Garrison.
